The school district was an overall good experience for me.
The academics were average, they did not offer any other AP languages other than spanish. Although I was able to refine my Spanish skills, I would have enjoyed another language option.
In addition they did not offer any computer courses besides digital design. I believe this is something that should be implemented, since technology is becoming more prominent in our every day lives.
The food was okay, they did make an effort to offer healthy options, which I appreciated.
The teachers were very supportive of us, however they did not want us to apply to out of state privates due to ,"price". This is not very good because there is so much aid offered nowadays. They should encourage students to push past comfort barriers.
Overall it was a great school district.

My experience at Whittier Union High School District has been a good one overall. I love my high school and the events is held. I really enjoyed the diversity and the social aspect at my school. Although it is natural to feel some sort of social judgement regardless, I liked the fact that there was really no social standard at my school. There were so many different personalities, including some that people may find as peculiar, however, I felt that no one was really bothered by what others chose to do. However, one thing I would like to see changed would be having the same rules enforced at all the schools in the district. For example, the dress code at my school was enforced significantly stronger at my school than at others, which I find unfair. Other than that, everything I experienced was enjoyable.
My experience at Whittier High School has overall been absolutely amazing. As ASB president, it's easy for me to say that Whittier High school has become my second home. The atmosphere is welcoming and extremely spirited even those who don't perceive themselves as "Sport-oriented" are immediately swallowed by the amount of pride we have in our athletics. On the contrary, Whittier High school doesn't promote togetherness with the community! I want to bridge a proactive connection between our student body and the community, knowing that business and philanthropy can go hand in hand. If Whittier High School made a more frequent appearance in their community they'd raise better leaders. It's as simple as that
