Whitley County Consolidated Schools Reviews
I attended WCCS since I was in the 6th grade! It is also the high school I graduated from! Which I am glad it was! WCCS helped me to prepare for college in so many helpful ways. There were so many things that had to be done by certain times, and all the teachers were very willing in helping all of us students to get them done! Especially the guidance department, they were the most helpful staff there! If it weren't for the guidance department, I fee like I wouldn't have been as ready as I was! They were honestly the greatest people ever! I will never forget them!
The school overall is very good; however, there are some areas to fix. We have many AP and dual credit classes that are offered, but some of the teachers “dumb” down he material so it’s easier for students to understand, but this also causes the students to not understand the material. Also, I believe that there are a wide variety of different classes for the schools and that almost all of the WCCS staff cares about each individual student and their success later in life.
As I have grown up being a student at Whitley County Consolidated Schools all my life, I can assure you that there are definitely pros and cons to the school system. The school district has an awesome staff of facilitators that truly care about the students and their success. Some of the downfalls of the school are some of the students and amenities within the school. Judging and bullying has been a major issue within the school. Most of the schools, solely Columbia City High School, does not have a pool inside and the building is not the nicest. Although, they have plans for 2020 for a new high school.
