Wheatland Union High School District Reviews
I like the variety of clubs at Wheatland Union High School. From LGBTQ+ clubs to Asian/Pacific Islander Appreciation clubs, Wheatland has it, and if not, you can create your own! What I would like to see change is more opportunities for more freshman field trips to educational places such as museums or art galleries.
I have gotten bullied several times, and the school doesn't really do anything about it. When you tell administration that you have been cyberbullied, mentally/physically abused by others they either just talk to you about how it is "just high school" or they will just give the student a "warning." Last semester my music teacher made me cry because he screamed at me because I asked the same question as another student before me. Also, I told this teacher that I had been lying down trying to take a nap, and a freshman boy came in a stood on my back with both feet. I ended up having to go to the doctor, and he told me that I had gotten a back spasm as a result of the incident. I told my music teacher about this, because it had happened in his classroom. He told me this boy was naturally a troublemaker and that "he didn't have malicious intent." I went to administration and they told me the exact same thing, and nothing was done about it.
I am a new student to Wheatland Union High School. I had transferred from Paradise High School because of the Camp Fire. This school made me feel comfortable, and the students and staff here are very nice. I am pleased so far on what this school has to offer. Wheatland High takes their learning seriously. They take care of the campus by updating it, and it really shows they care for the school, students, and staff. I wish they offer off campus lunch, but I understand they keep it closed lunch for the safety of the students.
