Weymouth Public Schools Reviews
Overall excellent teachers who care about their students. The high school programs are great for those on the college path or those on the employment path. The CTE program is a huge bonus for students who want to explore learning skills they can apply immediately upon graduation. Impressive night at the end of senior year displaying the student's Capstone projects-showcasing incredible talent and intellect among the student body. Drama, music, sports programs and many clubs are available to students. Brand new middle school will be a bonus to the town in a few years.
Weymouth High School is only a successful experience if you are an honor student. The communication between students and teachers is poor. The school is unable to provide educational support for students who need extra time or help with a difficult subject. Overall, the school system favors students who are highly intelligent. Any issues pertaining to bullying and sexual harassment are poorly handled and ignored. The teachers do not make extra time for students who need a helping hand. The bathrooms are infested with cigarette smoke.
At Weymouth High School, everyone around thinks that is isn’t a good school, but in fact it is. I love how many options I get for picking my classes and how some are so different from one another. Teachers will go out of their way to help you succeed, they are always on your backs about submitting work and they try and push you in the right direction. Teachers will make time for you no matter what it is for. Also, at the end of our junior year we start a huge project that we need in order to graduate. It goes into your senior year until the end of March and then you present and get graded on it. I feel like this project has really prepared me for what a college project is like so now I have a skill that other kids from other schools may not have. All in all, Weymouth High School is a fun and good school all around.
