Westview School Corporation Reviews
My experience at Westview was an awesome one! The teachers there care so much about each individual student and do as much as they can to help everyone learn. In this tight-knit community there is so much more I learned in my years at the schools than just the schoolwork I did. I liked how this was a small school with really nice facilities. The school has a rich history of high academics and always doing well in athletics as well. One thing they could change is potentially having a better network because at times the wifi would go down for a bit and nobody could use their computers.
Throughout my years within Westview School Corporation, I have had nothing but positive things to say about this school. The teachers genuinely care about their students, and students and faculty alike are involved in community activities. The music programs are heavily integrated within the school's activities, the arts programs are supported throughout the entirety of the school, and the athletic programs instill a sense of competition that never disappears. There are multiple opportunities in the school to get involved academically as well, such as our Academic Super Bowl teams or the National Honor Society chapter that is housed at our high school. There is a huge sense of pride and community involved at Westview, and regardless of the small size of the school, Westview will always hold a huge place in my memories.
I have been a part of Westview for as long as I can remember, and y favorite part about the school is the community support. This is always evident at home basketball games during the winter. Since we do not have football, basketball is the lifeblood of the school and community. It is not unusual to drive through the surrounding towns and see many driveways with basketball hoops in them. At Westview, the teachers treat you like family, and are just as involved in school activities as the students are. The school holds a very high standard in academics and student behavior, and the small population allows for the "family" feel. With these high standards, something that could be improved upon would be funding to certain programs such as the music department. Being that fine arts classes are important to receiving a diploma or scholarships and these classes are proven to develop the brain and motor skills, it is important to keep this program going.
