Currently a high school senior. Love the scheduling system and the amount of freedom entrusted in us. Have a great group of friends, plenty of sports and extracurriculars to participate in. Teachers are more than willing to help if you ask, especially if you pay attention in class and put in the effort. Couldn't ask for more!
The school is amazing. The buildings are really beautiful and there are a multitude of classes to take at the high school. I truly loved going to school here because it helped push me into thinking bigger about my future. The only downside is a lot of the student body is wealthy so some classes or opportunities are not available if you don’t have money. The community is great though. The school focuses heavily of sports
The teachers that truly cared and enjoyed their jobs had the most helpful & significant impact to my high school success & overall experience. However, the amount of teachers employed at Westside High School that lacked passion or a real desire to teach made it tougher to have that same drive to so well in that class. Overall, the good teachers outweighed the bad. There's so many opportunities to get involved in something that you're passionate about so you can quickly get an idea of your interests and career field after high school.
