This school district is absolutely wonderful. The teachers are so helpful and kind with the students and teach a lot. It's a great community with everyone willing to help one another achieve their goals. Once, my friend forgot to bring their coat to class during the winter and they had a fire drill, so the teacher gave her her coat to wear.
The academic opportunities, artistic experiences, and intellectual environment that Westport has offered me have allowed me to discover what I'm interested in and develop the passions that shape me today. For instance, I began playing the viola in 4th grade through the school system, and now, I play in New York Youth Symphony every week.
Excellent funding. Very tumultous era of leadership. Excellent level of parent and community involvement. Disappointed that no after school activity buses are offered for students, which limits students who can participate to those who have non-working parents or nannies.
