More funding needs to go to the creative departments, so the mission statement can actually reflect what the students believe. Right now, the students feel as though there is a lack of care for inspiring the student, and rather the schools priority is the "99% graduated, and 98% went to college" statistic.

Weston High School has a great community and amazing cafe food. Some teachers were awful, while others were inspiring. The guidance office was super helpful, apart from the front desk lady who was horrible. Most sports and activities were very inclusive and most students participate in community or school related functions.
I graduated from Weston High School in 2016 and I attended all K-12 grades in Weston, as I have lived in Weston for the past 19 years of my life. During my time in school there, it has not only been a positive experience academically but also was academically exhilarating due to the great teachers and staff Weston has to offer. Weston has earned the Blue Ribbon of Excellence Award several times along with being in the top five best school systems in the state of Connecticut due to the rigorous courses and professional teachers it provides. Although Weston is great academically, it was not diverse and the school culture could have been a little better. My overall experience, however, was exceptional due to the academic attention I received as well as the friends I made to make my experience throughout high school even better.
