As a junior, I have spent experienced many school years with Western Wayne. Perhaps some of my favorite things about this school is the enthusiasm for sports, preparation for standardized tests, and encouragement by the teachers and students. Western Wayne High School does an excellent job at preparing students for the experiences that await them. As I edge closer to my senior year, I trust my district to offer me lectures and visits to possible colleges- as they already have with some. If I could ask for anything more from Western Wayne, it would be to expand the search of colleges and perhaps even plan visits to campusss further than local. Overall, this school has taught me so much and continues to help me grow as an individual eager to enter the big world.

Western Wayne is a football driven school. While academics are important, I felt that football was the schools number 1 priority and academics came second. I cheered for 1 year; great experience. Marching band I enjoyed immensely. So even though "MARCHING BAND" is part of the spirit of football; I always felt and saw for myself that the football team was given more attention. I stayed with marching band because I loved it; and it was my outlet for my stress that came with the academics, wouldn't trade it for the world hope to be able to do it in college, but in the future, I hope and wish for a more cohesive union between Marching band and football. I didn't like being quieted by the football coaches while trying to bring team spirit to the field and the stands. Everyone has a job and all jobs are necessary and it is necessary to not diminish or ignore any of these skill sets. GO WILDCATS!!!!
What I like about Western Wayne is the support each student gives towards our sports, I am a 3 sport athlete and there is an amazing amount of support for each sport that I play. What I would like to see changed is the food, The food isn't terrible and I'm not saying our lunch ladies don't do their job because they work extremely hard. It is just something personally would like to see changed.
