Western School Corporation Reviews

I enjoy the current principals cooperation with the school. In the past three years we have had three principals and he is definitely the most involved and positive. There is not much I would be willing change about my school but further syncing up the material presented in class by different teachers would be appreciated. For students who are switched to a different teacher in the “same” class the material presented may be more difficult when taught by a different teacher and this is pretty frustrating for someone who strives to do their best. Overall, the school corporation and its administrators as well as teachers try their best to be involved in improving the corporation as a whole.

Western is a school corporation that's full of wonderful people with the goal of creating an educational and safe environment for the students. The school is on the smaller side with the number of students, providing an average student to teacher ratio. The teachers provide all the help they can to allow for the students to succeed. Western also provides each student, from K-12, an iPad for learning purposes. A huge advantage with this is what we call e-learning days. When school is cancelled, teachers are able to send out assignments and lessons through the iPad for students to complete. The missed school days never have to be made up because of the technological advancements schools have in the classrooms. Western is known for its successful record with sports. The school is centered around its sports programs and puts a lot effort into the teams. Students who want to further their athletic career would enjoy this school.
When I went to western high school I found that even though it wasn’t the best school of all time, it was pretty good. With most the teachers around trying their best to make sure their students learned to the best of their ability. Specifically, Mr. Bowman, Mr. Conklin, and Mrs. Stewart trying to make sure we always had time to study before a test, they were always on us to get our work done, and if we were ever confused as to how something worked, they would always go out of their way to help us understand. Along with that the sports program was alright, we weren’t the best school overall, but we usually made it pretty far into the finals of sporting events. Our clubs for the most part tried to encompass everyone as best as they could, specifically I was a part of the chess club which was always fun to attend. To continue with this the school always made sure to teach us safety precautions for our lives. The only thing I can say I didn’t really care for was the food.
