The school has a good amount of very caring, thoughful teachers. It gives students a platform to find their interests. Although I would like to have more of a focus on mathmatics instead of the neglect it gets from the overall student body, when you do get involved in the higher level maths, the teachers show a very intense interest in what they are teaching.
Pretty safe school, only some teachers are involved, but if they are they are very compassionate with kids and help them out when needed even with things at home or work, others will not care if you pass or fail. Students are nosy, lots of cliques.
I had moved to West Seneca my senior year of high school. The administration had been very helpful in my transition. Making sure I had all my requirement and classes to graduate. Also, my guidance counselor helped me get in tough with athletic director that allowed me to start to practice with the team. My three other siblings also started school in the school district and have not had any issues in the school. The school is well maintained and clean. The counselors have helped me sign up for Regents exams and contact teacher to assist me.
I personally enjoyed the positive atmosphere during and outside the schools. Everyday, all of the staff members did the best they could to make the students day as best as they could.
Very good teachers, a school that is improving overtime, becoming more enjoyable as time goes on. Education is first and there is a lot of help to get through that, with many students are on the path to do very well. There is a slight lack of discipline however and athletic participation lacks.
Great School District. Superb teachers who remember you long after graduation. Definitely a great school district and community to raise a family.
Throughout my years in the west Seneca schools, Teachers, principles and coaches have made an impact on my life. They have helped me thought the years with the many problems i have had growing up. And I have the upmost respect for all of them.
I personally love my school because of all the academic activities you can participate in! West Seneca West makes sure us, as students, get the best education from wonderful teacher who care about our education. It is a safe place with wonderful staff. I’m glad to be a part of West Seneca West Central School District!
It's a better district. Moved here from Buffalo and my kids are flourishing in ways I never could. They have great teachers. The teachers and Special Education Department are more hands on. My kids love it here and they never want to go back to Buffalo.
West Seneca teachers really care about their students and will go out of their way to make sure you succeed. Also, despite difficult budgetary restrictions all over the country, West Seneca knows how to make their dollars stretch.
The teacher's are all very caring and considerate. If you have an issue going on at home, they all understood and so empathetic. I would like to see some more fun activities such as pep rallies to make the students who dread coming to school have an initiative to come. I would also like see another school resource officer.
Loved going to school here. The teachers are all very personable and willing to help. Principle was amazing and understanding and willing to work with any student who had troubles.
The WSCSD is a great community for one to receive an education. The faculty and staff at each school is caring, helpful and patient. There are so many extracurricular activities including SEVERAL sports and an excellent Music Department. West Seneca was rated one of the nations best communities for music education by the NAMM Foundation.
I appreciated the faculty and the freedom that came along with going to West Seneca East Senior. Every teacher I had was courteous to their students and always attempted to be the best teacher they could be. While the curriculum was good at preparing kids at its core, the lack of variety is disappointed. It's strange because there were more classes available as a freshman then there are now. Some of the teachers, while courteous and kind, are unable at understand an adolescent mind and are lacking in teaching students or prioritize some students over others, particularly in the math department. Overall, the school is wonderful, but some teachers can't teach, and there aren't enough electives so that everyone can find something they like.
In general, it’s a public school which is marginal at best through middle school and improves drastically after freshman year.
I can't say enough about the Life Science Academy! After having the experience to participate in many internship during this acedemy, I am sure I want to pursue a career in the health field.
My favorite part about West Seneca West school District was the community and coming together with everything we did, not only in the education aspect but everything from sports, musicals, events, and activities around our community; as a family.
