West Point Public Schools Reviews
I had an overall amazing experience in this school system. The teachers really care about the students and want them to not only pass their classes but understand the material. The administration is very much involved with the student body. The lunch food is average, but not that unappealing. The school is safe at all times and our school resource officer makes sure of that. The new bathrooms are kept clean at all times, for the most part.
West Point Public Schools offers a safe educational environment through it's high involvement in the student's life through remediation programs, school spirit events, and a strict no bully mandate. With a large amount of extracurricular activities such as clubs, sports, and musical ensembles, West Point offers a strong academic path for students and a very diversified after school life.
We moved here from WJCC schools and have been amazed at what a huge difference in education and character development it has meant for our kids to grow in this school system. The school system is student centered rather than system centered. WPPS is one of a couple of town managed school systems in VA. Clearly, that's a system that works and should be a study model for the rest of the state.
