West Ottawa is a Huge school. Although it is big most Teacher and kids know everyone by name. It's like a family outside of your family. The food, well it is like my moms cooking, not so good. LOL but many choices. Bullying is not tolerated here at all. Sport Coaches are awesome and always make practice and games fun! I am proud to say I am a West Ottawa Student! 59 days until I GRADUATE!

What I loved most about West Ottawa was the fact that it was immensely diverse. Being such a diverse school, I was able to befriend and meet new people of different cultures. Another thing that I loved about the school was the fact that there were several classes to choose from. Aside from the general classes like English, Science, Math, and History, West Ottawa had an incredible selection of electives- this is something I know most schools don't offer to their students. For example, West Ottawa has a "Life Readiness" class, where seniors were taught how to be independent. They were taught how to cook basic foods, do laundry, etc. Something else that I loved was having a college adviser. They pushed us to finish our FAFSA on time and to apply to colleges as early as possible. Being the first one in my family to go to college, it was comforting to know that I had someone I could go to with any questions I had.
There are a lot of opportunities. There are challenging courses such as numerous AP classes and IB classes, and successful programs in music, arts, sports, and various clubs. The teachers care about the students and want them to succeed. The only problems I've really encountered are with some of the administration.
