Now a college junior, I have felt overwhelmingly prepared by West Morris central high school. I attend a public university where at times I feel the quality of education I received previously was superior. More than that, I believe the staff at West Morris taught me to think critically. This elevated my ability to learn beyond comprehension so that I might succeed both academically, AND as a well rounded human being.
Specifically, I was able to obtain a job at the student success center my Freshman year where I have been able to share the academic resources and strategies I garnered from my high school teachers and advisors. Moreover, when I went through personal struggles, I was only able to maintain my academic scholarship through the 30+ AP/IB credits I received, despite them originally not applying towards any academic progress. I have realized that I am privileged to have benefited from this standard of education, and forever indebted to the faculty who prioritized my success.

West Morris Central is a very rural school with an open campus, I like the various sports fields it has. As well as the well-kept tennis courts and turf field. Not only is the outside of the school appealing but the inside is delightful too. Every year the seniors in the ib art program paint a mural for their class. West Morris has collected many of these murals on the inside walls of the school. Each vibrant mural is like a time capsule of that year. These murals are my favorite part as I think they give the school a creative/fun touch.I mentioned the ib program before, my high school has every junior and senior student placed in this program. The teachers who educate at West Morris are wonderful, they are quite pleasant to be around and be taught by.I always feel welcomed when I walk into the classroom. Finally, the students who make up West Morris are very nice people. They are very supportive of each other and try extremely hard academically which shows a lot in their final grade.
I am a Senior at WMC. The academics here are very rigorous and I feel they have prepared me for college level course work. Some of the teachers are very enthusiastic, and others are there for a paycheck. I thoroughly enjoyed the ones that are excited to teach. Their classes are enriching and exciting. The ones there for the paycheck seem obvious.
I love football season, and have enjoyed cheerleading. In general WMC offers a club for everyone's interests.
There is however definitely a drug problem at the school that the administration seems to turn a blind eye to. They say they are going to bring in the drug sniffing dogs, and never do. If they do, they tell us days before it happens.
