I was enrolled in the West Hartford Public Schools my entire school career, starting off at Florence E. Smith STEM School and received an intensive, quality and interactive education that I will never forget. I moved up to King Phillip Middle School and thoroughly enjoyed my time. I ended my career at William H. Hall High School where I received knowledge needed for out-of-school success and college preparatory classes that challenged me and my mind to think deeper and beyond the known. WHPS is a district that is once in a lifetime and is a district I can recommend forever! You won't regret it!

I have been very happy with my experience in the West Hartford Schools. During my elementary years, I actually attended the Classical Magnet, which no longer exists in that form ...BUT..it was really a terrific program. I took French in kindergarten! Middle school was..well..middle school - nuff said! Conard High School is wonderful. Great caring faculty, lots of interesting clubs, and friendly, socially aware student body.
I like that we have excellent racial, cultural, and gender diversity. Also, most of the students are kind and empathetic; they try to provide constructive criticism and like to help tutor struggling peers. My high school also has motivating teachers, helpful and kind staff, and hard-working janitors. The student body is considered very large, and many students, especially in my own class, are very academically and socially capable.
Recently, we have had a warning about vaping from the school principal, and four of the school's bathrooms have been locked. I have also heard of other students taking other drugs or alcoholic drinks. There have also been cases of bullying.
