West Geauga isn’t a bad school whatsoever, but you’ll hear the iconic and sarcastic “West is Best!” catchphrase once or twice a day. The academics are alright and there’s a straight 50/50 chance with the teachers (some are college level and some have no idea how to do their job at all), but there’s rarely any bullying and everyone treats each other like family. We also have a policeman who is on duty throughout the school day!

The West Geauga School District became my parents number 1 choice when it came to switching districts. The students and faculty acted as a family all the time whether it was in the halls, at a sporting event, club activities, and even around town. They even became a blue ribbon school. West Geauga was not the most modern and up to date but they enforce the process for everyone to feel welcome and feel accepted. Academics was a high priority for this district as well. Although, I would have liked to change the some of the resources for the students to receive more help if they were struggling rather than just visiting with a teacher. Maybe mandatory study groups or sessions, or online help that is available through the school website. Another thing that would be nice to change are the fix the roof so water can stop flooding the halls and soaking lockers. Other than those few hiccups I did enjoy my time at West Geauga.
What I love most about West Geauga Local School is there a low percentage of bullying among the kids. Though, it still occurs, it's very rare. What I would change about West Geauga would honestly be some of the staff. Our school tries to be more divers, but some staff members really don't want it to be. Many times you can totally tell when staff members are picking favorites and picking on students. I love West Geauga, but not so much the staff.
