The school district is great! They have various activities that range from elementary to high school that keep the students engaged in their school community. Having teachers who go above and beyond also helps keep students motivated and wanting to learn. My experience here was fantastic and it really prepared me for college. I’m excited my younger siblings get to experience school the way I did in the West Des Moines School District. Although having a snow day wvery once in a while wouldn’t hurt.

As a senior in the West Des Moines Community School District I believe the I am well prepared fro my college experience. The classroom opportunities at the high school level can get very specialized, such as business, accounting, automotive tech, engineering, and etc. I personally have taken advantage of the several of the engineering courses offered at Valley. In my middle school years, Stilwell required that all seventh graders take art, consumer education, cooking and sewing, and a woodworking class, one per quarter, to sprout new interests in the young adults. I enjoyed taking these classes very much.

In conclusion, I have had a wonderful experience the West Des Moines Community School District.
But in elementary school, it was very shallow, like saying that it was very strict and you didn't very many options at all. which is kinda expected for little kids, but in junior high nothing didn't really change. you were told what to do and when to do it. My freshman year in high school was just like junior high. In the West Des Moines Community School District Valley High Schools population is so big that they had to make another school just for the freshman and it was just like junior high. Nothing changed or got better, or fun I should say until my sophomore year. After that thing started to become more fun and relaxing. The teachers are great, the school has a good rep, and the environment is a place to learn.
