West De Pere School District Reviews
West De Pere was a very good high school, I did not attend the middle school or any of the elementary schools. The high school was really inclusive, even to people who move into the district, like I did. I found many friends very fast, the only thing i wish they had continued was the program for new students, I was in it my first year. But it was discontinued as the person who ran it moved away. The program would check in with new students to see how well they are adapting to the new environment. Luckily I found friends very fast, first with others who had also moved, and then the friend group just grew from there.
I am currently a senior at West De Pere high school and overall it was a great experience. I made and lost many friends. I was able to connect with people of all grades. I had both good and bad experiences at this school, but that’s what helped shape my future. I took classes that helped eliminate or spike my interests in a future career path. Although, I wish there would have been more class opportunities in agriculture. I understand though that there’s only so many teachers and space to have these opportunities. I also loved majority of my teachers. Most made learning as fun as it could possibly be. But, some teachers just didn’t fit my learning styles. With the way our schedules were set up it was cool to have a new teacher most of the time. Overall my time at West De Pere high school was a life changing experience.
I struggled a lot with mental health and trying to fit into the athletic, naturally academically smart box that was West De Pere Middle and High School. I now go to Phantom Knight Charter School, which has given me so many real-world opportunities and applications. This is where I will be graduating from and I'm so happy I transferred because it allows me to excel in my gifts and serve my purpose.
