I am currently a senior at West De Pere high school and overall it was a great experience. I made and lost many friends. I was able to connect with people of all grades. I had both good and bad experiences at this school, but that’s what helped shape my future. I took classes that helped eliminate or spike my interests in a future career path. Although, I wish there would have been more class opportunities in agriculture. I understand though that there’s only so many teachers and space to have these opportunities. I also loved majority of my teachers. Most made learning as fun as it could possibly be. But, some teachers just didn’t fit my learning styles. With the way our schedules were set up it was cool to have a new teacher most of the time. Overall my time at West De Pere high school was a life changing experience.

I struggled a lot with mental health and trying to fit into the athletic, naturally academically smart box that was West De Pere Middle and High School. I now go to Phantom Knight Charter School, which has given me so many real-world opportunities and applications. This is where I will be graduating from and I'm so happy I transferred because it allows me to excel in my gifts and serve my purpose.
While it is true that West De Pere has wonderful facilities and excellent technology and resources, the culture of the school is a bit unsettling. There exists an excessive amount of unkind and unhappy children. While the problem begins with the way the students are raised, the lack of punishment for outbursts and bullying from the administration is sub par at best. Great school, not so great attention to student behavior.
