I would say i have had above average interactions with teachers and staff. However, the schools itself is disgusting. Most of the time when you go to the restroom you have to wait in a line of five or more people because we have over 900 students and only 12 toilets for the entire female part of our student body. and once you get to use the restroom you have to hope the toilet still works, and don't forget about dodging the puddles of water on the floor! over half our toilets leak. Some parts of the school don't have heat, some don't have AC so some classes will be freezing and which ones will have you sweating. we do most of our work with paper and pencil because we don't have enough working laptops for all the classes that need them, and we only have 5 computer labs, which are often used as classrooms for regular classes because we don't have the amount of real classrooms that we need. Our school has amazing spirit, but sadly we do not have the facilities to match.

My kids have attended Silver Creek Middle and High school. The level of teacher involvement and commitment at the schools is great. My interactions with the administration have been excellent. I particularly like the counselors at both schools. They are accessible, welcoming, and great at answering questions and giving helpful advice. There are many opportunities for clubs and athletics for the kids so kids can graduate feeling involved in the school community if they choose to be. Unfortunately, the facilities are in desperate need of repair at the high school. There aren't enough lockers or classrooms. The athletic facilities need a huge upgrade. The roof leaks. There is black mold in many areas. The heat doesn't work at times in some classrooms on cold days. It's a great school already, but with the needed improvements for the facilities, it will get even better.
My experience at Silver Creek High School could have been a lot better. Yes, I had a decent high school career. I did most things any high schooler does, involved in activities, etc. The academics at SC are a lot better than most. There are multiple opportunities that other schools do not offer. However, there’s not much diversity or culture at SC. They could definitely work on that. The safety at SC is terrible. We have no security system that works. Many of us do not feel safe in the school. Our sports teams are what makes Silver Creek the school to be at. The building itself is falling apart. We have trash cans sitting in the halls to catch rain water, the carpet is disgusting, and our students are sick 80% of the time due to the mold.
