West Carroll Special School District is a very good school. The school tries to provide you with many opportunities like career based classes, clubs, and more. The faculty, staff, and teachers help inform you of these opportunities such as scholarships, colleges, and more. West Carroll Special School District will help you become successful.
I wish the culture at West Carroll would improve. Ever since I began, the culture has gone downhill. For example, the majority of students are not involved in school-sponsored activities such as sports. It is always the same students who show up to the game, and out of those students, only a handful show any school spirit. The rest of the kids talk down on the school, students, and administration. Even though West Carroll has a poor culture, I do enjoy the staff and students being close because the majority of the staff are from the area or have family in the area.
West Carroll is an interesting school. There are a few teachers working there that really care about the student’s success. However, the people in charge allow their power to go to their heads. During my senior year, I needed help applying for scholarships. But, because I wasn't the favorite, I received no help and was turned away. Also, I found out after graduation that I should have been in the top ten due to my GPA. I asked three of my peers who were in the top ten and my GPA was higher. If you are not the teacher’s pet at West Carroll, prepare to work harder than everyone else.
