I have transfered from another school in the District this year, and what a world of difference! west Bloomfield has it ALL: a leader that is passionate and involved, teachers that are dedicated and determined, support staff that are united and supportive, and students that are kind, happy, and hardworking. At West Bloomfield they develop the whole child, and we appreciate the opportunity to be a Laker Great school they help you grow as a student and as an individual.
Review West Bloomfield School District
I am a product of West Bloomfield School District. I went to Green Elementary School and Abbott Middle School. I graduated from West Bloomfield High School in 2015. I was lucky enough to be able to be involved in school of choice because I live in Pontiac and WBSD prepared me for college. My life would not be the same had I gone to Pontiac schools. The work ethic I have now was instilled in me since middle school. The AVID program within WBSD is great. I gave the School District a 4 start in academics instead of a 5 because I had history classes/teachers that did not teach me true history, causing me to grow with misinformation that I had to unlearn. I did have phenomenal teachers that did help me unlearn and learn once I started taking honors classes in high school. One teacher within WBSD, Mr. James Corcoran who has been teaching at West Bloomfield High School for decades molded me in a very memorable way. I commend WBSD for hiring and taking care of teachers that change lives.
West Bloomfield High School is such a diverse school with amazing groups of students. The students compete with each other in academics, sports, club, and extracurriculars. It is very important to learn how to stay motivated and the environment is this school helps you do this. This school has amazing teachers and counselors that you can always talk to.
