I am a Senior at West Bloomfield High, and have been in the school district since kindergarten. My experience has been GREAT! The teachers all care about our performance in class, and take the time to reach out if I am having trouble in any of my classes etc. The diversity is number 1 it is such a blended school and everyone cares for each other.

My experience at out West Bloomfield High school has been great. I have been challenged to be the best I can be as a student as well as an athlete. You make great relationships with the teachers and they genuinely care. Also it helps that the staff is young ,so they’re easy to talk to, because they can relate to the current issues. The school is apart of the “U Matter” Movement for 4 years now. For a whole week we talk on mental health, just so people know they’re not alone. The Only thing I would change about the school is being more understanding that some kids can’t get to school on time and it’s not their fault, some students rely on family members to take them to school and the students are late waiting on them. I would change that the school is more understanding that some some kids can’t get to school on time, and it’s not their fault. If the student is late a certain amount of times they have to go to after school detention, which isn’t fair.
Overall, the high school is very large, well-funded, and diverse. There are many clubs students can choose from (arts and sports). Furthermore, the school does very well academic wise. West Bloomfield High school offers many AP classes and the teachers do well in preparing students for the college courses and AP exams. The school also provides students with a lot of resources. For instance, installing a chrome book program. This program gave students, specifically those who have trouble accessing the internet and working with electronics, the ability to have their own device during their years as a student.
