Wesclin Community Unit School District No. 3 Reviews

3 reviews
This is a small close community that provides a safe environment to families. The small size limits diversity, resources and exploration into the surrounding cities and states. They have expanded and built a beautiful new high school and continue to look for opportunities to grow. The teachers are usually local and have graduated from Wesclin High School themselves which can be good and bad. The sports programs struggle some due to small size and lacking of good volunteer coaches and support that know fundamentals and challenge the athletes. Bullying and accepting of outside families is a typical struggle in school communities but know that social media is assisting with breaking through that wall of prejudice.

Many of my teachers genuinely care about the kids, however, there is an imbalance of focus on sports and masculine activies rather than the Arts.
I would like to see a larger student body as well as more diversity. I do enjoy the school culture, however.
