I really enjoy being a part of the Weld RE5J school district. I am currently attending Roosevelt High School, and I can say from four years worth of personal experience that the teachers care about their students, the administration does the best they can, and the opportunities offered to us are phenomenal. That being said, what I might change is that our Sex Ed. Classes are being dropped because the administration doesn’t want the teachers to talk about homosexuality. This isn’t something I agree with, so I’d fix it if I had any power to do so
While I was attending school, it was great. During my senior year, half of the high school staff got fired. My mother worked for the district and it got to the point that any and all teachers were scared that if their hair wasn't in the proper place they would get fired. Most people, like students, were scared that one day their teacher would be there and the nest their teacher would be gone
I loved the teachers in this district. They did a great job at readying students for college, and providing them with many helpful resources. Because of them, I was on the right track from the get-go and am now about to attend university!
