The diversity in the school is wide with the varying ethnicity, skin color, genders, and sexual preference. The small vicinity of the school and town allows everyone to know each other to a respectable degree.
Though the students are a majority ratio of delinquents. I would say 3/4 of the school (9th to 12th) do some type of illegal drug and carry them into the district, smoking in the lockers, bathroom, and even sometimes in the halls or right outside the school doors and windows. While some of the students are nice and helpful, most of them lie, ditch classes, and work harder at not doing work than actually trying. Attachment to technology, mostly phones, negatively affects student involvement in classes and keeps each day feeling as stagnant as the last.
In addition to this, the school acts because of a situation rather than prepares before a problem happens. Whether this be bomb threat, shooting threat, illness check, and constant blocking of facilities. But overall it is decent.

Weehawken High School was a very good high school for me. It prepared me for college. They offer so many helpful resources. The staff want you to succeed and guide you through the application process. Student body is friendly and diverse. There will often be foreign exchange students which really adds to the diversity. Students have the ability to be themselves without judgement. The best program available is definitely the marching band. It was my favorite activity. You not only grow as a person but learn to work as a team as one. There is never a shortage of extracurriculars you can join. There is something for everyone
The teachers are everything, too bad they are underpaid grossly in comparison to other districts. The Board of Education is out of touch. Some of the administrators are okay, but the BOE moves them around so much that they cannot be effective. Also there are huge exaggerations about the schools performance that actually makes it harder for students to get into college, and to apply to the right ones.
