Webster Central School District Reviews
I grew up in Webster and have been attending Webster schools all my life. Although some buildings are a little old and don’t have air conditioning, it’s a great district. All the teachers care and build special relationships with each child. The district offers a variety of extracurricular activities to engage and connect their students. The high schools also offer AP courses to challenge their students and the teachers and people that assist in this process are amazing. Overall, I wouldn’t want to attend another school!
Webster Thomas high School is honestly a very good school and I'm blessed to go here. The teachers are all generally good teachers, but of course there's exceptions. Spirit week is the highlight, when everyone goes all out to dress up and compete with the other classes. The students here are generally pretty good students, especially compared to other schools in the area. Fights are a minimum and a majority of students care about school and their grades. I would say Thomas is definitely very college-orientated which can be a bad thing for those not looking to go to college. I would say that because it is, the environment can get stressful at times for some people. Overall it's a very good school but of course it's not perfect.
What I like about the Webster Central School District is the commitment of the teachers to the well being and excellence of students. In my time as a student, all of my teachers have pushed me to be the best I can be. Also, if I ever needed help, my teachers were there to assist me in any way they could. The one small complaint I have about the district is the counseling system. It was very hard to communicate with my counselor about college, despite the fact that they have a lot of responsibility in helping students apply to college. Overall, my experience was great, and I loved going to school in Webster.
