Weathersfield Local School District Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 4 reviews
Everyone is very close and excellent to be around. With our school district being a small size, it allows everyone to always come together and get to know everyone better than a lot of other schools. The academics here are great and I love learning from the teachers here.
Growing up in the weathersfield school district has given me many opportunities to be an academic, involved, and appreciative student. As with all schools/school districts, there is room to grow. The food in our cafeteria is not of the best quality and I normally pack my lunch, but aside from that, Mineral Ridge schools have amazing staff from the custodians to the super intendent. Everyone is very caring, kind, and willing to help in various situations. It would be great to see more involvement in student’s lives from the parents in the district and more diversity within our school to build tolerance and respect; however, the district has shown love and compassion to all of its inhabitants. Being a student in the Weathersfield Local School District has been nothing but a privilege to me throughout my school career and life.
Loved the alternative to choir and band they offer a class called history of rock and roll. My child love this class she did not want to she does not sing and she does not play an instrument into have this alternative class was wonderful. What I did not like is the only offer one language which is Spanish I would like to see another language offered. What would be nice is if schools would bring back at least mandatory 1 grade of home ECT. So the kids can learn to cook basic food for themselves.
After graduating and coming back to the school many times for my younger siblings, I would say it's a small community with huge heart for the school. The education on the other hand isn't very advanced and only has two honor or college credit classes. The classes are simple and don't challenge the students. This wasn't help full for the future.
