I’ve loved my time here at Wayzata. I’ve been able to find my place with sports, activities and people. The majority of my teachers have gone out of their way to make sure I am successful and strive to reach my goals. Being a part of the dance team has been the highlight of my high school career. The program is amazing and I was able to be a part of the best team ever. I will truly miss Wayzata!

This school has many opportunities and great resources but the school culture is very exclusive. It is not very diverse in any way, there is a small African American community, a small LGBTQ community, and as well a small Hispanic/Latino community. The academics are great on the other hand, most teachers really want their students to succeed, they are also effective in college prep. They also offer lots of help to the community, with in the school there are many people to help you through difficult times, yet the administration is awful.
My high school gave me wonderful academic experience. I had countless opportunities to expand my knowledge on a numerous subjects. The teachers are all very helpful and caring. They provided ways to get involved in helping out our school and community. The students' engagement created a great sense of school spirit. The only downside of my school was the extremely competitive nature of it. Rather it be academic, sport, or college related, students would compete for positions and not support one another. The other negative to my school was the lack of diversity both racially and economically. I felt like there was not a good representation of other cultures. Despite these drawbacks, Wayzata Public Schools provide an excellent education as well as a strong curriculum and staff.
