Wayne County has a special place in my heart, and it always will. I grew up here, and knew that I would graduate from one of its schools. My elementary years are some of the most tender and memorable ones I have, and my middle school years are characterized by being in a great band program with an amazing director, and going on extraordinary field trips like to the historic city of Yorktown and the ever-inspiring New York City. My earlier years with Wayne County Public Schools were great, but there is something special about our high schools. I feel like I am ready to progress in life. I feel like I have a community to make proud. Most importantly, I feel like I can say with confidence that I had a fantastic career as a student, and that my character has grown tremendously because of my teachers, administrators, and community. I am excited to go to school, get education and bring something great back to my county.
I personally really enjoyed the diversity in the students and staff. There was always a new culture to be seen right around the corner in any educational environment. I also always really liked the clubs offered. You can find just about anything for anyone. The main thing I would have changed about this school system was the amount of academic opportunities there were for students wanting to push past the set limits. There are AIG programs and NHS, but that is about it unless you reach out of the district.
Great classes, Great Administration, and Outstanding teachers. My Guidance Councelor has ounceled me very well from 9th grade through my current Sr Year.
