Wayne Central School District Reviews
My experience at Wayne has been great! The staff and administration are very cooperative and respectful to students and to other fellow staff. Our sports program is one of the best in the county. I play on the women's volleyball team and last year we won our league and sectionals. We plan and hope to do the same this year! Our football team won against our rivals Pal-Mac 48-0! Everyone at Wayne is invested in sports. One thing I would change about my school is to have a study block period everyday last block. This period was where everyone in the whole school, teachers and students, all had a study block and you would be able to go to a whatever teacher you needed help from. This was very beneficial to students. We did not have to find extra time to meet with a teacher and I got better grades by getting my homework done in that amount off time. Thank you for reading my experience story.
The Wayne Central School district provided many opportunities for students to research their future goals. An internship was required to graduate, and the internship leaders were very good about placing students in the field that they wanted to go to college for. Also, the completion of a senior project was required to graduate. Students were able to pick any topic they wanted and research it, write a paper, involve the community, and then present on it. Most students chose topics that would correlate with their future endeavors. The senior project also assisted in the preparation for the amount of college coursework students receive. The Wayne Central School district prepares graduating high school students for college.
Elementary school is crowded and building is dark and old. Teachers in the same grade do things so differently..some give math homework nightly, others only spelling packets. They don’t have enough clubs and activities for younger kids. Recess is 10 minutes. People are miserable here if you talk to them. Board members have finally changed so maybe some improvements will happen. No diversity, none. Same few parents volunteer.
