The amount of good friends and fellow students I met as well as the few but amazingly influential teachers I had the chance to learn under made up for the twisted and unbalanced way this school district was run. School funds were funneled tward sports while art teachers were paying out of their own pockets for supplies, there was very little done in preparation for college, standardized testing was the back bone of ace Denice instead of personalized teaching and assistance and there were several counts of sexism, racism and allienation amongst the students and teachers brought on by the administration.
I have attended Wauwatosa School District schools since kindergarten, and now as a senior looking back on all those years I consider myself very fortunate to have received such a great education. The vast majority of teachers in this district are passionate, kind, and intelligent people who truly want their students to succeed. The high schools offer challenging academics and AP courses, as well as a wide range of clubs and sports. The school counselors and college counselor are an great source of knowledge, assistance, and encouragement to students throughout the college application process. A Wauwatosa School District school provides students with not only a quality education, but also the skills for a successful future.
