My experience at Wauwatosa has been great. Throughout the years I have gone through many health issues and the school has always been there for me. My school is always open to making accommodations for those who need it. Although something I would change would be our grading system. At Wauwatosa West, there is really no way to fail highschool unless you do not do anything. Our grading system causes students not to put full effort into every assignment. The students can easily recognize how poor our grading system is, and often take advantage of it. Although our grading system may be poor the teachers are always pushing our students to do their best.

I really like the teachers at Wauwatosa West High School. They do a great job of building relationships with the students and making sure we are all doing okay personally. We have a very diverse student body which makes school fun because I can see the lifestyles of my classmates from many different angles. One of the things I would improve about my school is how they prepare us for college. Although I haven't been in college yet, I've heard from past students at Wauwatosa West that the college work is very different from the work we are given, therefore not preparing us for the challenges college brings.
I've had a pretty good experience in the Wauwatosa School District these past four years. There are plenty of sports and clubs to fit any interest, and new clubs are always being made which is a very cool thing. The staff genuinely care about the students and work hard to make connections with them on not only an educational level but also a personal level. There is a nice variety of classes offered, but there are some AP courses that are offered at other schools that are not here, which I know is a bit of a letdown for many students. The Wauwatosa School District does a great job of creating an environment for people to grow as students and as people during their time there.
