The district was good, but it lacked a lot of understanding of their students. They introduced iPads to a majority of the grades, but never fully grasped how to control and work around problems that occurred with the technology. During my senior year, they had little to no snow days available for Waukesha North High School and that year was a terrible winter for us! It was not very fun because there was no wiggle room available. I wouldn't say the district is bad or uncaring, those were just some big takeaways that occurred during my time with the Waukesha School District, and from what I've heard and seen, they are working around some issues that occurred. The WSD has been very open and inclusive with their programs within schools and diversity and that has been the greatest impact on growing up here in Waukesha--I got to meet so many wonderful people that weren't the same as me.

My experience in the district has been average. The elementary school I attended was not the best. This school did not prepare for the levels and challenges that middle school would bring. This made my middle school years a challenge for me. Going into high school my academics has gotten so much better. The teachers and other staff here at Waukesha North have been amazing! There are so many teachers here that are always willing help me, and always trying to find a way to make my day better if they know I am having a bad one. The teachers and staff here at North are always trying to better their students, and prepare us for what the real world can bring.
Waukesha school district has many teachers that are passionate about their students. Many choices for clubs, after school activities and other ways to be engaged. The music in the high schools (marching band winning state several years), was always exciting to me. And exciting to be a part of that during my senior year!
