Waukee High School is a great place to learn! The teachers are friendly and kind, and willing to help! Waukee High School gives students the opportunity to be apart of many activities, sports, and even clubs! You can never be bored at Waukee High School! I wish they could add more basic classes, such as Physics, French (world language classes in general), and World History! Waukee is a growing community and it's becoming so hard to find the right classes especially when it's always full! Overall Waukee High School, is an amazing high school!

I started at Waukee in 7th grade and attended until I graduated. The schools did a great job in setting me up for success. There are many different classes to tailor a student's high school education, and the use of the block system allows a student to learn more about the subjects they are interested in. For many students the difference between college and high school is shocking at first but with the many AP courses offered at Waukee, I felt comfortable and prepared for the workload and difficulty of college courses.

There are also many after school programs and extracurriculars for students to discover and develop new interests and skill and meet plenty of new friends. Without all the opportunities offered, I never would have discovered my love for programming, which led to many amazing opportunities.

Waukee also has a unique APEX program which allows students to gain professional experience while in high school, and is a great way to experiment with possible careers.
I really, really like the teachers here. They are absolutely wonderful people, and really do care about their students. However, I feel like as a whole, the school is very cliquish. There are definitely A-list and B-list students within every activity involved, and I do feel like they on occasion take advantage of that. Additionally, the grading standards are very low. It takes very little effort to get an A here. Many students who do not deserve an A basically have it handed to them. Plus, the overall morale of the students leaves something to be desired. No one enjoys pep rallies. Everyone rolls their eyes. A lot of people leave early. But we do have a lot of great facilities and materials available to the students. A very nice weight room, lots of band instruments, tons of technology.
