The Watertown School District is a district that is always striving to help the students gain the materials and knowledge needed in order to be successful in their lives. As a senior, I feel that the Watertown School District has correctly responded to certain situations to help me feel safe. Although I have never felt unsafe at school, we are in a time where unfortunately school shootings have become more common. If there was a change to be made at our school, it would be that we would have a buzz-in system to help prevent any outside dangers from entering our school. Other than that, I have loved being apart of Watertown and have really enjoyed my journey as a student because of the coaches, teachers, and other students.

My years at Watertown High School has overall been an amazing experience due to the new friendships, clubs, sporting activities, and the teachers. My school has incredible school spirit because so many kids participate in everything. I participated in track, book club, key club (service club), student council, volleyball, and band. The leaders of these activities were amazing and I made tons of new friends getting involved. Watertown High School has many ways to get involved and care about each and every student.
I like the environment. The school has very nice student and staff. The student to faculty ratio is around 12:1 so my class sizes are small enough to have the good personal relationship with my teacher. They are very good at giving one on one help whenever it is needed. My teachers always will help when I am at home by inviting me into the classroom early in the mornings or after school for additional help. The duel credit opportunities are very plentiful at school. I am currently enrolled in three duel credit courses. The staff is also very adamant about the duel credit opportunities. It gives students an opportunity to get a jump start to their college life and further their education.
