The Watauga County school system assures that your child is learning in a safe and judgement free environment. The teachers are unbelievably dedicated to providing their knowledge in their everyday lessons. I, personally, would recommend this district to anybody!

As a parent, I could not be happier. Our children love the K-8 environment and get to have art, PE, orchestra, and a wide range of activities. The teachers are wonderful and the other students are respectful and good kids. The new superintendent who came a few years ago has made a world of difference in our schools. I see him at lots of events with his own children.
I moved here in 3rd grade and everyone was super welcoming. The teachers and students are super friendly. I'd love to see some more challenging programs come in for younger kids, but I've had nice experiences. Also, stronger enforcement on bullying would be cool...
