I loved attending Hardin Park Elementary and Watauga High School. I always had fantastic teachers and I received a great education that has prepared me for college in so many ways. Watauga High School was only a couple years old when I attended and it was a fantastic learning facility. I participated in two varsity sports for all four years!

Teachers showed favoritism and died not accomdate different styles of learning. I was in the gifted program for a few years before homeschool g for a year. When I returned to the school I was told I could in the gifted program afte homeschooling. No evaluations influenced their decision.
Pre-algebra is key to a students college path. The pre-algebra teacher was favored girls. He also made up his own algebra problems that did not have a whole number solution making it very difficult for students. He really discouraged students. I was a good student but his influence was discouraging.
The Watauga County school system assures that your child is learning in a safe and judgement free environment. The teachers are unbelievably dedicated to providing their knowledge in their everyday lessons. I, personally, would recommend this district to anybody!
