I would overall say that my experience at Washington Township School District was very good. The best part about the district were the after school clubs and activities. There was a club for everyone and all interests. This allowed me to easily find a group of kids, who soon became my friends, who were interested in the same thing as me. Also, this gave students like me something to do after school instead of just going home and watching tv or playing video games for hours. The next best part about the school was the teachers. All of my educators were always there for me and willing to help in any way shape or form. It was obvious that every teacher wanted the best for their students and wanted to help them reach their maximum potential. There's always a smile and friendly face in this school district!
Overall, I enjoyed my high school experience within the Washington Township School District very much. I have gained some excellent skills in not only my education, but also in many life experiences I expect to cross. I feel as though in a school, it is important to learn things beyond the curriculum, and I am confident my time in high school has gotten me that. I also feel I have built a very strong family environment and have met people and teachers that have changed my perspective and life for the better. I have learned many valuable lessons that I will take with me throughout my entire lifetime. The facilities were wonderful. My experience within the arts has been absolutely incredible. My only issue within the system is the lack of diversity. My school is predominantly white and this is not something I support. It is hard to acknowledge the school for all the greatness it is when this is such a current, visible, and predominant issue that is impossible to ignore.
My experience at Washington Township Public Schools was relatively good for the beginning years, it was easy to meet good friends, I had good teachers for the most part, wasn't too difficult as long as you stay on top of your work load. However, there are some things I would like to see changed, a lot of times are school is too focused on one problem over another, my school seems to go through teachers relatively quickly and a lot of times the teachers leave due to reasons that can be fixed by the school. This is really important especially during a teacher shortage.
