Rating 4.13 out of 5 15 reviews
Washington is an excellent schooling program, especially for a girl with profound hearing loss. They have helped me become the smart, obstacle overcoming person that I am today. Without their help and outstanding teaching skills, I would not be in the position I am in today. Some examples of the individual help they have offered includes speech therapy, closed captioning for video lectures or audio, face to face communication, and much much more. I cannot thank them enough for the past 13 incredible years of support and all the attention any ordinary student should receive. Because of the staff at Washington School District, I have the goal of graduating high school, only to go to college to study pharmaceutical sciences. Thank you Washington!
I have been in this school district all my life, and I've had my ups an downs with it. I have been provided for, given a great education for free, been coached by some amazing people and built relationships that will last a life time with not only students me age, but coaches and parents as well! Though I have all these perks, one thing I wish I could change would be the school district having more school pride. We hire teachers and admin from other towns that are our rivals then expect them to route for us... or they send their kids to different surrounding schools but expect us to have school pride when our school wasn't good enough for their own kids. Granted this has never been an issue for me, I've just heard people talk and make the point of how are we supposed to grow if our foundation is cracked? Overall I love my district and the complaint isn't even bad, but I don't think it should be ignored. I feel if our district is good enough to give you a job, you need to embrace it!
My experience at Washington High School was a good one. I met new friends, learned various skill like(woodworking, engineering, calculus, physics, and confidence), and had a fun time while doing it. A safe atmosphere was provided that allowed me to excel academically and socially. As long as they make promoting learning and fun a key part of their school program it should continue to be good. I have no regrets in attending Washington High School.
