Walton Verona Independent Schools Reviews
When it comes to Walton-Verona, you're always going to get mixed reviews. As a young LGBTQ+ woman, I found my experience at this school to be very difficult. Nepotism runs rampant and unchecked, and the diversity is so lacking that prejudice and hatred is the norm. That being said, the women who teach here are passionate, empowered, and deeply empathetic, and deserve all of the recognition they receive. The band is fantastic, the athletics are competitive, and the community does truly care. Overall, it's an average school. They need more diversity and options, but right now they're lacking.
Very good experience. The teacehrs and staff were great. The food was terrible tho.. one time freshman year i found a bone in my chicken tacos. Coming from a different school into this one the kids werent very welcoming and letting you into there “groups”. The school only focuses on football and basketball for there sports, they could care less about any other sport. All they care about is weather or not you get good grades so they can get money from the state. Over all a great environment to learn once u get into your “group”.
Walton-Verona is overall not bad. The staff has good intentions with their teaching methods, they just don't execute them very well. From my experience they focus more on pointless speeches and unnecessary activities, rather than the content needing to be taught. Other than that, I suppose its a pretty safe, clean, and academically advanced school.
