The schools in this area are highly remarked, for this district contains some of the best schools out of the entire state of Florida. Other than a few exceptions, most of the schools in this district have a nice and friendly staff whose main goal is to help your child achieve at the highest level and to protect them at all costs in case of a threat. The sports teams around the area are great at all levels. All very competitive and have amazing coaches!

I attend Freeport High school and have noticed a disconnect between policy makers and the financial needs of students. While I understand that the financial situation of our area is in fluctuation, defunding academic programs and cutting funds to extracurricular activities to this extent is unacceptable. I was a part of an extraordinary medical program called SSTRIDE, which provided me and my peers with many future opportunities while simultaneously addressing the future shortage of medical personnel in many rural areas (including our own). The program was cut completely from our area within three years of it's development due to budget cuts imposed by the school district. This is a common occurrence in many of the clubs and groups within the school.
The teachers, students, and just everything is great! I appreciate how much everyone pushes us to do better, it's really helped me.
