Waltham Public Schools Reviews
Diverse School, accepting of everyone. Great academic programs. Music Department has competed in several music competitions throughout the country. Excellent Arts Department and home of The Regal Players that put on performances with celebrity guest appearances. Parent participation and enthusiasm in sports throughout the City.
What I like best about Waltham Public Schools is the sense of diversity I knew I was surrounded by. Knowing there are people from so many different backgrounds is very reassuring, and makes me feel lucky to have been exposed to throughout my time in Waltham Public Schools. I'm also thankful for the districts efforts towards college readiness, as I feel that my guidance councilor was able to help me through everything I needed to do in a very stress-free manner. However, I feel indifferent about most of the other factors, as teachers are really a hit or miss, and I never had any strong feelings towards administration, food, facilities, or any of the others.
I came into Waltham public schools during my sophomore year of high school. I didn't have very high hopes for the school before attending due to the feedback I had received from the current students. After being there for over 2 years, I have come to enjoy the ethnic diversity that Waltham Public Schools offer. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that the diversity is appreciated by everyone. There are a variety of different ethnic backgrounds in waltham, but Waltham Public Schools seem to have a hard time catering to everybody and giving all of their students a sense of comfort. If their school system can make that improvement in the upcoming school year, more students would feel accepted.
