No one here is happy. They have taken away all senior privileges, our bathrooms, wifi, food quality has gone downhill with lunch ladies even taking food from students bc you’re only allowed one portion. However said portions are not filling and the side salads consist of 2 pieces of lettuce. Administration does not take student concerns into account leaving students feeling disrespected and not cared for. Two stars only for a positive experience before covid and before they began randomly locking bathrooms all day and patrolling the school trying to get kids in trouble to give excessive detentions. Completely forgot about current Seniors and have not prepped class of ‘22 for college at all. No one I have spoken to is happy with Walpole High School at all.
My children are in elementary and middle schools in Walpole and we are so happy! Teachers are involved and engaged. They have all been amazing thru the pandemic. Administrators are updating families and asking for their input constantly. Teachers have been great at communicating even when there are technical issues with all of the remote/hybrid learning. One of my children is on a 504 and services are quick and efficient with the child’s best interest always most important
Walpole Public Schools are in many ways a great learning experience. From the beginning of my academic experience, I have been a Walpole Rebel at heart. Although I have enjoyed learning and turning into the adult I am today with the help of Walpole administrators, I wish there was more diversity. In my small, suburban town, Irishmen and Italians roam. All staff members at Walpole schools are white - although it is not a negative, I have heard from classmates that they do not feel like there is a role model for people of color. Reaching out to people of color to teach at Walpole would change the dynamic of the school for the better.
