This school is an astounding public school. Wallenpaupack Area School District instills students with pride and confidence while giving them all the resources they would need to succeed in life. Any careers that a student would wish to pursue, this school will help them to do so. If they don’t have the resources to do it, they will get them best they can. They do an amazing job to keep the school safe and have fun with the students. Not only is the education phenomenonal, but so are the extra curriculars and fun activities they do with the students. Excellent school district, I’d recommend to anyone!
The thing about Wallenpaupack is that all the people here, the teachers, the administrators, the guidance staff, from the second you walk in they're already proud of you. The students here aren't fighting for the approval or acceptance of those aiding us. Instead, we are working to prove them right. Time and time again my school empowers me and my peers and equips us with life lessons and academic information that will prove priceless after graduation. Another powerful aspect of Wallenpaupack’s supportive commuinity is the willingness of the teachers to form real bonds with their students. The teacher- student relationship bolstered by wallenpaupack makes handling the stress of rigorous academics possible. This gentle and empowering community gives teenagers room to grow and develop as both students and people.
I am deaf but also a high honor student requiring many services others didn’t need such as a bilingual captioner for Spanish and French, and an interpreter that would know more advanced vocabulary, I would like to say the special Ed department was great but some of the older teachers in every grade refused to change their ways to accommodate those with disabilities. There have been quite a few classes I solely learned on my own by reading the book and watching YouTube. Some teachers were so extremely stubborn that they actually disregarded my IEP and tried to test me on my hearing and encouraged students to bully me based on my deafness. Ok will say I really liked the language department who never doubted a deaf person can learn a foreign language and helped me learn more visually. They truly know how to teach all students.
