I had went to these schools most of my childhood life. I gave them an N/A on "college readiness" because I feel the schools have not emphasized how to navigate real life, including college. But is there a public school that does? Their food has not been too good in the past (around when Michelle Obama took action), but years later the options have become more diverse and tasty. Since I am an alumni I cannot say how things are in that regard, now. The music, arts, and sports were very fun and lively. However it was pretty obvious when I was in school that the most cared about activity was football and the least cared about was vocal. I overall gave them a 3 out of 5 stars, because they can get the job done.
My experience at Wagoner Public Schools is great! I’m so sad it’s coming to an end, I’ll miss it so much after graduation. I have excellent understanding teachers. Coach Bell, Mrs. Rex, and Mrs. Cantrell are such great teachers, I’m so thankful I got to be one of their students. I enjoy being involved in student council and other clubs. I love going to Criss Cross and being with the kids everyday. I love seeing their big smiles when I walk into their class. One thing I’d like to see change is student having fun in our pep assemblies. The crowd has died down over the years and they aren’t so full of pep. There’s nothing wrong with showing school spirit.
There are some really outstanding teachers within the district, very interested in the students success and well being! While I’ve had a bad egg or two over the years, my overall experience at this school was great. I attended Wagoner public schools my entire life up to graduation. I made life long friends, got involved in church, sports, and clubs, and am now in college! My only wish looking back is for more opportunity for different classes.
