I think the VUSD has been a really great district, especially with the schools that I have attended. I think they really prepare you for college by learning important skills like knowing how to study and creating a planner for homework, the teachers are great as well; really good teachers especially at MVHS!

I've been apart of the Vista Unified School District my entire life. One thing I didn't like was how they keep changing the school schedule. I've had to adjust to three different kinds of school schedules ever since I entered Vista High. I personally feel like the district can do a better job at implementing ways to teach students about mental health as well as their staff, because after all, we are kids, not robots. We get stressed, we deal with personal issues regarding family or friends, and a lot of the time, we aren't taught how to deal with it at home, so several kids end up emotionally stunted.
I like how the Vista Unified School District requires teachers to be so involved in their students life, especially senior year which is one of the most stressful highschool years. I also believe that the concept of common core has prepared me to face challenges when I go off to college. I believe parents should be more involved with school and be allowed to hear their input as guardins. I love how in my school clubs play an important role in a student's everyday life.
