I've spent my entire schooling career in VUSD, and have overall been pleased with my experience. On every campus I believe that students have access to many opportunities for growth such as clubs, sports and most of all inspiring teachers. Although, I have come across some teachers who are not so great, I think that kids can always find somewhere a teacher who cares. However, my siblings have not always had such great experiences and do feel that some teachers were not understanding of there educational needs and were actually disruptive to their progress. The facilities are not very clean or well kept but there is effort to change that. The AP classes re rigorous and do prepare kids for college. The campus is very diverse.

In my district, I like the local community atmosphere that is bred here. District news travels quickly thanks to the district website and newsletter. News of positive impacts to the district such as funding for certain programs really creates a sense of pride within the district and connectivity between its members. My parents love to stay up to date by reading the news letter and talking about it amongs their friends. I feel proud to be a part of a community that supports important programs and clubs.
I have not been a student here for too long, but long enough to experience chance to see new people. In my life, I have moved many times, but here I was able to embrace my culture and ethnicities with all these other cultures and ethnicities. The district is a very diverse community and it's a great chance to try out the activities that they provide here. What I would hope for the District to improve on is cleanliness of the community. Not many people, students especially, do not take initiative in keeping their environment clean for others to live in. Overall the school I go to provides much that I need in order to prepare for my future with the preparedness and readiness of teachers and staff.
