Victor Central School District Reviews
Victor Central School District consists of 4 buildings all on one inclusive campus with multiple fields and playground areas. The schools are ranked high because students tend to do very well on exams, and teachers are typically very friendly and helpful. The problem is in the programs. The school spends the majority of it's budget on sports and athletic programs rather than arts, music, or the upkeep of the buildings. With the recent approval of the budget increase however, I am hopeful things will become better. I have personally attended every building on campus and have had all of my education at Victor. I feel there is room for a lot of improvement when it comes to student support and understanding, but compared to other schools Victor schools tend to be more reliable and offer many after-school programs and extra-curricular activities.
I love the fun and inclusive experience of Victor High School. The interactive and multiple activities really engage all of the students, as well as the numerous interesting clubs. There's always something new!
Victor Central Schools is a fine school, if you’re a perfect student you will be very successful! But if you’re a student that doesn’t get good grades you wont get the proper treatment here. Since Victor holds their status as a school at such a high standard they end up pushing aside the children that need teaching the most. The kids that don’t get preferential treatment end up falling off and go down the wrong path. Being a teenager with all those hormones rushing up and down your body telling your brain to do things that you’ve never experienced before is a hard and confusing time so of course you’re gonna act out and be defiant. Victor Schools does not handle defiance well and end up making the situation worse for the students even if it’s a cry for help they will suspend them. Teens don’t know how to deal with that! I really do hope that victor schools starts to realize that suspending kids does not help them realize their faults. They need a shoulder to cry on.
