Vestavia has a very home feel about it. I have been in this school system since kindergarten and have the friends I do because of this system. I feel very equipped to be going to college soon after the education that Vestavia has given me. Vestavia could work on creating more activities for everyone to be involved in, but other than that the diversity is good in the system!
Review Vestavia Hills City Schools
Vestavia Hills has an amazing school system in my opinion. The way teachers take time to make sure that students actually understand what they are being taught is great. The work is hard sometimes but if you don't understand there are ample opportunities to help students understand. From nhs touring to optional study sessions in the morning, study, or after school students are guaranteed to understand the lesson. Although Vestavia is a good school system there isn't much diversity. As a minority student at Vestavia sometimes it is hard to feel as if I have all the opportunities as other students here. There are students of different races all over the school but they are not represented on the big team sports and SGA. I'm not blaming Vestavia for minority students not being represented but I feel as if we should try hard to make everyone feel welcome
I am a part of the 2017 graduating class. My overall experience at Vestavia has been great. The school gave us plenty opportunities to explore college and college preparedness class to help us better prepare for careers. The teachers are willing to assist and very caring to ensure the students are successful. There are various clubs and activities for all students, as well as sports activities to participate. My overall experience was great.
