Vermillion high school is a school where everybody knows everybody but there are still a few new face here and there. It is the perfect size to have a comfortable learning environment and be involved in many extra curricular activities throughout the years. Last year we had a major leadership switch hiring new secretaries, guidance counselors, police officers, and a new principal and our superintendent has only been with us for 1 year before hand. So many things are changing behind the scenes that affect the student but are not being communicated very well to us.

I grew up originally in a very eco-diverse school district in Southern California. Moving to South Dakota and finishing up my studies is not something I would expect to do, considering the frigid and sometimes horrid Winters. Now, as a grad student, I have managed to push through these Winters with another one coming our way, to successfully complete my MA in Clinical and Mental Health in a few years. Thank YOU Vermillion for giving me this chance at success.
My experience with Vermillion High School has been overwhelmingly positive. Not only are the teachers are amazing, but the students are very nice as well as welcoming to new students. The teachers encourage you to work harder and excel in education as well as making sure your school day is going well.
