Van Buren Public Schools Reviews
I've been in the Van Buren Public Schools since kindergarten and I've never had any issue here. Being a senior now at the high school, I have witnessed lots of events take place to make our schools better for all. Many incidents have occurred that are always handled with professionalism. I think they provide many opportunities for students to be involved in their community and in the decisions that are made for the district. Our range of classes offered here can apply to any student, whether a general student, honors student, or AP student. I think our district has done a swell job in all their efforts for the betterment of our students and community.
The teachers are great. The material is good. They do not challenge students enough because they have to babysit so many underachievers. For the overachiever and self motivated student, it provides lots of opportunities for networking, learning, and excelling because there is not a large quantity of competition but the competition is high in quality.
Very diverse school district with quality academics and facilities. Very good college readiness, but you have to look for it, it is not very open. New administration is much better than the previous.
