Valley Park School District is an awesome district, Public High School With Pre-12th being on the same campus. It is the perfect school for everybody in the community. I have been going to Valley Park since Kindergarten, and I am now a Senior in high school. I was a part of the VICC program, Voluntary Interdistrict Choice Corporation. (De-Segration). From the janitors to the administration everybody treats you well. I participated in baseball and basketball in which I had opportunity to make friends with the whole school and community. My overall experience was great! loving all the great memories. Totally amazing District.
I will forever be grateful that Valley Park was the community I got to grow up as part of. A small school district yes, but one of the most inclusive and accepting places I have ever lived; being part of a small school was a blessing. With a small class and teachers who all took the time to know us on a personal level, it felt like a sanctuary more than simply a school. When tragedies would occur, on the rare instances they did, everyone would rally together in support. Any one person's victories became the entire student body's, as did the failures. Everyone in the district did whatever they could to help us succeed, and it was for that reason that I will forever be incredibly proud to have called the Valley Park district my home for twelve years.
I attended Valley Park High School for my senior year, and I couldn’t have asked for a better environment to spend the last year of high school. Every single teacher and staff member truly cared about each and every student. They wanted you to succeed no matter what obstacles came in my way. I worked closely with my counselor who helped me transition from moving schools a few times throughout high school and help me with the college process. I wish I could have spent more of years of education there.
