Valdosta City Schools has a program called Valdosta Early College Academy that prepares students for college. Fifth grade students are accepted to attend their sixth grade year. When they enter the eight grade, they should be taking most ninth grade classes. By the time they get in the eleventh grade, they should take mostly college classes. The school is located within walking distance from Valdosta State University. This gives students a great opportunity to experience college.

It is important to note that, every school has something different to offer sometimes better then others and on other occasions less than others. Overall, my experience in Valdosta City Schools has been nothing but excitement and opportunities to the students. And how helpful as well as caring the administrators are towards the students and the goals they want to accomplish. But most importantly, the love they give is like no other.
Valdosta State is a beautiful campus to go to. I just finished my first semester as a freshman there. All my classes were five minutes away from my dorm so that was a plus. I generally liked all my teachers expect for my english one. All my teachers were willing to help me outside of class hours. The library is a good resource to use. It closes at 2 A.M. but they have a 24 hour internet cafe. The library has laptops that you can rent daily so that's great for students who don't have one. I wish the campus had a 24 hour dining place however. The grille is the only place that stays open until 12. The food is average overall, I eat chicken or pizza everyday. Everyday you have a meal exchange so for dinner I eat Chick- fil-la.
