Upper Arlington Schools Reviews
This school is very skilled at preparing students academically for college and extracurricular activities. Its abundance of resources and sponsors allows students to pursue after-school activities that interest them and gives them an opportunity to explore different paths inside and outside academics. I am personally invested in their music program, which includes several choral options (with choirs increasing in difficulty schould a student choose to advance in the practice), two levels of orchestra, and an excellent band program.
Upper Arlington Schools focuses on academics, rightfully so. Academically, the district has helped me push myself to my full capabilities as a student. The school has "office hours" every Wednesday, in which the school day begins a half an hour later to allow students to see their teachers for instruction/questions. Each year, the program of studies grows, particularly increasing Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate classes. At UAHS, there is a level for everyone. For example, they offer on-level geometry, honors geometry, and geometry plus, for students who need two periods to master the concepts and ask for help. Clubs like Book Club and Robotics Club encourage students to continue learning outside of the classroom. Additionally, offering online and summer classes lets those who need to catch up or want to get ahead do so.
Upper Arlington Schools really prepared me for life in college and beyond. I feel as though I've had a great experience and a great education. Some of the facilities aren't very nice and Upper Arlington is not a very diverse place, but other than that everything else is wonderful!
